Billy grew up in Peru, Ecuador, Columbia, and California. He played soccer growing up and developed his skills playing in South America. Boulder City, Nevada is where he went to high school playing Soccer and Basketball. After graduating he joined the Marine Corps. He was deployed for Operation Iraqi Freedom for 10 months, and also trained in Israel, Japan, and Ukraine. He is currently a student at UNLV pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic training with a minor in nutrition sports nutrition. His long term goal is a Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology with an emphasis on Biomechanics. In his free time he enjoys playing soccer, training MMA, and hanging out with friends and family.
Billy heard about CrossFit in 2007 through his friend Jared who is training to be a Para-rescue Jumper. He fell in love with the workouts right away. It was the perfect strength and conditioning program to prepare him for his MMA fights. He was used to grueling, intense workouts in the Marines, but they lacked structure. His PT score in the Marines was good, but in order to achieve a perfect score he needed to shave off 2 minutes from his 3mile run time. Running 20 miles a week left him frustrated and over-trained. He met and exceeded his goal after only 4 months of doing CrossFit. The fact that he did this with no long distance runs, and his workouts took less than one hour went against everything he knew about exercise physiology.
After this, he had to find out why the program works so well. He read everything he could get his hands on about CrossFit and the founder, Coach Glassman. He knew he had to get certified. He started training his friends and anybody that wanted to learn out of his garage. After getting certified at CrossFit San Diego he knew he wanted to bring the fitness revolution to everyone by opening up SinCity CrossFit. The motivation, confidence, toughness, mental fortitude, camaraderie, and esprit de corps that CrossFit builds, are all attributes that he tries to instill in his clients. The only thing he enjoys more than competition is helping others achieve fitness they never thought possible. From a squat to a 10k run, a pull-up to a rope climb, Billy would love to be there to inspire each member of the SinCity CrossFit Community.

TJ Michalosky was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV. He has always been involved in different sports and outdoor activities; including baseball, football, and snowboarding, and has always had a passion for health and fitness. Currently he is a business major at UNLV and plans to attain his Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy.
Like many, TJ kept in shape by following traditional weight training/ body building routines. He became a personal trainer at a local globo-gym, because not only did he like working out but enjoyed helping other improve their fitness. Not convinced that this was the true path to health and fitness, he was always searching for a more effective and complete way to train himself and his clients.
After hearing about CrossFit from a friend, he decided to give it shot. From the very first workout he knew there was something different about CrossFit. He was impressed by the structured blend of intense functional movements along with the supportive atmosphere that you get from the CrossFit Community. He is excited for every opportunity to offer insight and optimize the fitness of others. His passion for working with people and fitness goes hand in hand with the CrossFit fitness movement.

Shain was born in Bakersfield, CA and has always
been involved in sports. Born with a structural complication (of the ankle) and having multiple surgeries did not stop him from being an active kid growing up. Having lived in Peru and Ecuador during his youth, soccer became his main sport. After moving back to the US, Shain attended Boulder City High School where he wrestled and swam, in addition to playing soccer. Having to transition between them, he realized that being conditioned for one sport does not make you prepared you for the physical challenges of the next sport.
After high school Shain attended UNLV. To stay in shape he did the typical weight-lifting workout, and played soccer in his free time. He graduated with a Bachelor’s in Pre-professional Biological Sciences, and is working toward becoming an MD.
Shain’s first CrossFit was in his brothers’ garage in 2007. He was puzzled at how exhausted he was after such a short workout. He started out doing it about once a week in addition to his generic weight lifting program. He thought he needed to keep weight lifting to continue to build strength. He realized later, that the functional strength built through CrossFit is superior to the one-dimensional isolation movements found in body building. Like most weight lifters, his lower body strength was sorely lacking - in part, because of range of motion issues associated with his leg. He has learned to overcome the range of motion issues through proper form, and is relieved to be able to benefit from essential movements, like the squat. His desire to help people extends beyond his career goals and into helping prevent and overcome injury through CrossFit.
